Store your sterling silver or gold jewelry in a dry location, preferably in a cloth bag
or a jewelry box, as open air will speed up the natural oxidation of the metal.

Close your necklaces and bracelets when storing, to prevent them from getting
tangled or delicate chains from getting knotted.

To clean or remove tarnish, you may use a soft cotton cloth, and rub stones or metal
gently between thumb and forefinger, until the piece is shiny, to your liking. You can
purchase special jewelry cleaning cloths at jewelry supply stores.
Most can be used for both sterling silver and gold and are safe for gemstones,
but read the package for the specific usage instructions.

There are different liquid jewelry cleaners on the market. Be sure to read the instructions
carefully so as not to ruin particular gemstones that need extra care. These liquid cleaners
usually involve dipping your entire piece of jewelry into the liquid. Again... Read the
instructions carefully - some gemstones can be permanently ruined with this method!

Also, believe it or not, gently scrubbing your jewelry with a SOFT toothbrush and dish soap
(such as Lemon Joy) with warm (not hot!) water will remove minor to moderate amounts of
tarnish from the metal, and bring a shine back to your gemstones.
